Hi Eleanor and other cfap 'internautes'( as they say in france, perhapsit means 'internet-astronauts'??). How is everyone getting on with their huge lists of things to do? Thanks for the wake up call E! I've been having loads of cfap-degree show-group project-my practice -where does it all fit in kinda of thoughts as I was doing other stuff to pretend that I was on holiday. So I was just pondering over this question this morning, which I wanted to submit to cfapers, which I think that we are attempting to answer through our meetings, basically, how can we generate ideas which can apply to the whole group with regards to the degree show? I was thinking of this because I was having one of those visualisations of what I would like to work on towards the degree show with my own 'practice', which is basically to create an alternative and complimentary document to the dissertation that has just been submitted (incorporating all that I had censored), and then I thought wow maybe everyone else would like to do that type of work too, maybe they have things to explore further with regards to their dissertations( which we do in a sense as degree show and dissertation are graded together)?... Maybe this is how we could have a joint project... Of course this seemed reasonable at the time for 2 seconds, that is before I realised that this not only was a very personal project which I hope to tie in with some of the ideas that i have been exploring, but might also be something that sounds a bit boring or even masochistic (lets move on !!) Anyway it just made me think that it would be best to not propose this idea but see what people think about how group ideas are generated and how we fit in alll of our work together. I know yes this is not a new ground-breaking question but it would be interesting to have a discussion and maybe churn out some fresh perspectives. On to next subject: newspaper quotes and fundraising have been working on writing to newspaper printing companies to see if they would fund us in kind, it has not yielded any positives yet & I still need to hear back from some printers . Failing this I will get some quotes for us to pay for it ourselves. I'll get back soon on this subject. A bientot, Zoe
